Surf Shack

Accessibility Statement

Surf Shack is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We're continually working to improve the experience for every visitor and to apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, across three levels: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across our website and are actively working toward that goal.

We strive to make all pages and content fully accessible, but some content may not yet meet every standard. Where we fall short, we're committed to finding and fixing the issue.

What we do

  • Semantic, keyboard-navigable page structure with a "skip to content" link.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Color choices and contrast chosen with readability in mind.
  • Responsive layouts that work across phones, tablets, and desktops.
